Today was a great day for Abigail and Ansley. Both girls passed their eye exams! The only gliche in the day was there were no ultrasounds performed. We were really looking forward to seeing the results, but they were rescheduled for Thursday. Ansley was put on the cannula this morning and did extremely well on it. This is the best she has done on it, and we pray that this continues. When we left the hospital tonight at 10:45, she was still doing very well. The doctors decided to only move one girl to the cannula a day, so maybe Abigail can try it again tomorrow.

Nurse Jamie gave Ansley a bath today and she looked so beautiful. Her face has been so swollen because of having to wear the CPAP for so long, that today was our first real good look at her. She is soooo cute!! Didn't you think so, Grandma Mitchell?

Mommy, Daddy, Mr. Brad, and Mrs. Tiera gave Abigail her evening bath. She behaved very well the entire time and Mommy was able to hold her for several minutes while the nurses changed out her bed. (They do this weekly in hopes to keep down infections.)

Mr. Chad and Mrs. Dayla stopped by to check on them. Chloe wanted pictures of the babies, at least that was the excuse they gave us for wanting to come. ;) We tried to get Dr. Chad to go find us an ultrasound machine and tell us what's going on in there little heads!! He's the only Daddy I know of that can actually do that!! Hey Chloe, Abigail and Ansley said they can't wait to meet you and Logan!!!

The weights for the day are Abigail at 3 lbs 10 oz and Ansley at 3 lbs 3 oz. Before we left tonight, they told us that we can bring the girls some clothes to wear. Because they are too small for preemie clothes and smaller than most baby dolls there isn't a whole lot out there that they can wear, but thanks to Mrs. Sandra and Mrs. Kim, they have several adorable outfits that are designed for NICU babies with velcro openings...and stitched with love. We'll have to share pictures as soon as we get them all dolled up!

In your prayers for the girls the next couple of days, please remember the head ultrasounds that are now scheduled for Thursday. It's kind of like the cable company. It should happen anytime between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM!!!

Pictures of Ansley

Ansley shows off her ability to breathe on the cannula.

Ansley decides to take a nap after entertaining everyone! (She was super energetic today!)

Just a close up up Ansley's head full of hair. The nurses keep saying that it will fall out...but we'll see!

Pictures of Abigail
Abigail gets ready for her bath. (The CPAP causes the little indentions on her little cheeks. It also causes her eyes to be a little puffy...so she enjoys the break!) Look at all of that hair!
Abigail didn't appear to enjoy her bath time as much as everyone else did.
Boy, Daddy sure did a great job bathing me! Look how clean I look! I feel great!

Mommy keeps Abigail warm while the nurse gets her new bed ready!

    Eric (Peach Head!) and Rebecca,
We are so glad the babies are doing so well. I'm so glad that you have a website that I can check their progress. They are beautiful baby girls, and I know you will be so glad when you get to take them home.

I'm so thankful the girls are growing and progressing so well. I know you can't wait for the day to come that you can take them home with you. Thank God for wonderful doctors and hospitals to help little ones get the start they need. We love you so much and will be keeping up with the beautiful girls!
    Love,
