Today Abigail decided it was her turn again to steal the show. This morning she had what the Doctor called "cluster spells". These are apnea spells that happen close together. They weren't just light or moderate spells either. They required the nurses to really stimulate her in order to convince her to breathe again. This caused the nurses and the doctor to assume this might be an infection that was causing her to spell so often. The caregivers really stay on top of stuff like this and they are very proactive. They ordered her feedings to stop again, ordered her to be put back on CPAP for extra pressure, and they took blood tests and x-rays again to see if the spells were caused by an infection. They also started her on an antibiotic just in case there was an infection. She also started another round of aminopholin. This is the medicine that helps preemie's brains to stimulate breathing. We found out later in the day that she had not been receiving this medicine the last few days as Ansley has been. We hope that is the reason for the spells and not anything else. We are very confident she will be fine.

Ansley was able to bottle feed again today. They continue to increase her feedings. She is doing very well. She is hoping Abigail will get over this little bump in the road and they can soon be "roomies".
