The fall is here
Well, we have survived the weekend and what was a pretty much sleepless week. Abigail and Ansley have had colds for about a month. A little over a week ago they developed pitiful coughs. After being on an antibiotic for 10 days with no luck, we were back at the hospital Saturday morning with the same runny noses, coughs, and now runny eyes. Both girls are now on a new antibiotic for their eye and ear infections. 4 eyes and ears are a lot to be infected at one time! We can already see a tremendous improvement after just 24 hours of starting the new antibiotic and eye drops. Friday night we tried letting the girls sleep in our bedroom in their car seats. Let's just say it was a tremendous improvement over the week before! We were able to get more than about 30 minutes of sleep at a time! So the girls are still sleeping in our bedroom in their car seats. It seems they can breathe much better than laying in their beds. We had also heard that we could put something under their mattresses to make an incline, and it would help their drainage, breathing, and coughing. So we tried that. However, for some reason, both girls within just a few minutes of laying them down would already be turned with their heads at the bottom of the incline. No wonder they couldn't sleep! :) The joy of fall is now here...along with the nice cool weather and the beautiful leaves comes the stuffy noses, coughs, and numerous trips to the pediatrician!

Those two are so sweet... as is their very patient mother! :) The carseats are a great idea!! I am definitely going to use that trick. Anything for a few moments sleep! I love you and am proud of all your mommy-ing.

Oh my! You are a good mommy... your poor little angels! Hang in there... I'm glad the drops are working at least. It's nice when the medicine actually does it's job, huh? :) Love you!
