4 month check up

Yesterday we took the girls to the doctor for their four month check up. She said both girls are "perfect." We were so anxious to see how much they had grown.

Abigail: 7 lbs 7 oz, 20 1/2 inches

Ansley: 7 lbs 14 oz, 20 inches

We realized on our way in that the four month visit requires shots. Since the girls received all of their other shots while in the NICU, this would be our first time to experience the screams and cries from the nurses' shots. Two nurses came in with their trays of shots. Each nurse picked a baby and began administering the four shots. Whew! We have never heard cries like that from Abigail or Ansley! One of the four shots would supposedly hurt more than the others. Well when each of the girls received that final shot they screamed with every bit of muscle in their little bodies! The nurses had accidentally left the door cracked so we are certain that any other child in the doctors office feared for their life after the cries of our girls were over! And, no, Mommy couldn't handle all of the cries and screams...she definitely didn't leave with dry eyes! They also drew blood to check the girls' iron levels. They are no longer anemic! We have so much to be thankful for!
