Saturday was a big day. When Rebecca and the Mitchell grandparents arrived for the 9:00 A.M. feedings, the girls were sharing an incubator. Both girls were fed bottles and loved on by everyone and then put back in the incubator to rest. (Grandaddy Mitchell even got to hold both girls at the same time!) We were told that sometime during the day they would be moved to their own crib. Mrs. Angie was also able to meet the girls. They love her already!
Saturday night we went to the 9:00 feedings. They were tucked in together in their new crib. They were so cute!! We got them out, fed them, changed diapers, and tucked them back in for the night. (A note from Mommy: Daddy forgot to mention his little episode with Ansley. She was taking her bottle very well from her Daddy. I was feeding Abigail who is quite an aggressive eater! Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ansley projectile vomit everything she had just eaten...about an ounce of milk! Daddy and the nurse then had to change everything that he had worked so hard on before her feeding! It was too funny!)
Sunday afternoon we went to the 3:00 feeding and they were no longer co-bedding. Abigail had gotten just a little cold, so they put her back in the isollette. She had only been in there a little while and she was already showing signs of being warm!!! She can't figure out if she is like her mommy or her daddy! If she wants to sleep with her sister again, she had better start controlling her body temperature a little better. (Daddy and Ansley had much better luck today!)
Both girls took their entire bottle today. We are so very proud of both of them. They haven't gained any weight the last couple of days. They are both doing very well on their spells. We are very excited with their progress.
We apologize for being a little slow on the recent pictures! Here are a few of the latest...
Ansley smiles for the camera.
Abigail wasn't interested in the camera.
Ansley and Abigail shared an incubator on Saturday morning.
The girls appeared to want a little more room to spread out than the incubator would allow.
Abigail sucks down her first bottle. She wasted no time!
Mrs. Angie enjoys holding Abigail. Abigail didn't seem to want another picture!
Grandaddy Mitchell got to hold both girls after the nurse wouldn't take "no" for an answer!
Crazy Uncle Matthew got to hold Abigail.
Aunt Jennifer Bland got to hold Ansley during her visit.
Grandmommy Mitchell got to hold Abigail. (We got to sneak this picture of Abigail!)
Grammy and Peepaw Johns enjoyed holding the girls during their visit.

I love the pictures! They are great! My girls used to hold each other on the head like that when they slept together. What a special "twin thing". What sweeties!

The girls are so precious. I'm glad they got to spent a little time together. Maybe they will be back together soon. Both of you are doing an excellent job. Take care of yourselves. The four of you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love the pictures.
