Happy 2nd Birthday, Abigail and Ansley!

Abigail and Ansley are TWO! We celebrated their birthday with "Elmo" muffins (ok...just the muffin paper was Elmo), then we had a family picnic at school, then we visited Jeramy's baseball game for a little while, went to play at the park, and enjoyed Elmo cakes after dinner. They got to have their Elmo cupcakes at school on Thursday with their friends. And their Elmo party with the family was on Saturday. (Can you see a common theme?!)

This is how we found the girls in the morning. We could hear them talking about the Elmo birthday banner. Then we sang "Happy Birthday"...their favorite song.

Enjoying the Elmo muffins...on their Elmo plates.

Before we left for school, Abigail and Ansley got to see their birthday present...a playhouse/cottage. They loved it. As you can imagine, we had a hard time leaving that morning!

Trying to get a family picture at school.

Playing at the park. (They are wearing their Lindsey-Wilson College t-shirts that Sarah and Jeramy got them. They were very spirited at Jeramy's game!)

They aren't really fond of the swings. They prefer the slides...the dangerous ones. I found these funny pictures of the first time they tried out swings. Very funny. (They were almost 1.)

They loved reading their cards.

Enjoying their cakes. They were great at blowing out their candles!

After a fun-filled day, Daddy read the girls their bedtime story.

For some reason, I thought it was a great idea to make the cakes for all of these celebrations (I made cupcakes for school, each of the girls a cake for their actual birthday, Jeramy a cake for his birthday, and a massive Elmo cake for the girls' family party on Saturday.) Let's just say that I don't want to see Elmo, cake pans, or icing bags, tips, and coloring for a long time...and the prices at the bakeries for cakes seem like a great deal! :)
