Man's Best Friend
I know they always say that a dog is a man's best friend, but Kaycee has become the girls' best friend too. Everyday when we leave for work/school, the girls have to tell him bye. When we get home, they have to give him hugs and kisses, and they even tell him about their day. Since it's been so cold outside, he has been able to spend some special time inside. (He is an outside dog. Mommy is very allergic to sweet Kaycee.) One of the nights, Abigail and Ansley got to help give him a bath, and then they wanted him to sit in there and watch them take a bath. Then they wanted him to see their toys, they brought over their guitars and lots of other toys and sat by him to show them off. They decided he wanted to watch Dora, but they got upset when he wouldn't sit there and watch it with them. Then they should him their kitchen. Abigail made him some food and sat it down for him to try. She got upset when he actually put the bowl in his mouth. I guess he can't pretend like they think he should. Kaycee has been a "Lost Dog" several times over the past few weeks. It has been so upsetting when we were afraid that he wouldn't make it home again. Thanks to Craigslist, tons of "Lost Dog" signs, vet registration, and pet lovers, Kaycee has found his way back home each time. Abigail and Ansley love talking about how he gets to go hunting with Daddy and "gets those ducks."
Kaycee joined our family in 2003 right before Mommy and Daddy got married. He was just a few months old then. Mommy was in Kansas City for work when Daddy went to pick him up, which is where we got his name: "KC". We just spell it differently. We are glad that our little ones now love him just as much as we have. What a great dog!

Cooking for Kaycee
All of that playing with Kaycee was exhausting. Yes, they are in our bed again. It's becoming a bad habit, but it's so sweet that I hate to break it. They have decided that they like to fall asleep in our room, and then we have to carry them to their room. I am sure you can see by the way they sleep in a bed that sharing a bed with the two of them is impossible!

This is a clip of the girls dancing with their M&M's. Nee and Grandpa Tom got the girls these little M&M ornaments that play music. One of them sings "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" and the other sings "A Holly Jolly Christmas." Abigail and Ansley play with these non-stop, which means that they are always playing at the same time! In this clip, Abigail is holding the green one and is doing her "Big Bird" dance. She says that's how he dances...kicking her feet up and stomping.

I never realized that's how you got Kaycee's name. Emily is obsessed with our dogs, too. Poor Beau never gets a moment of peace-- Belle is smart and quick enough to keep her distance. And as for them sleeping with you- I agree that it's super sweet. We go through phases of her being in our bed and then her sleeping in her crib. Now she's in her crib, but I miss our little cuddle moments. (We sometimes pull her into our bed in the mornings for extra hugs and kisses! After all, we won't have that opportunity forever!)

OMG, love the big bird dance, I am laughing so hard. Your girls are adorable. Lola already loves our lab Jack, I can see them being close buds in the near future.
