Our First Year

We cannot think about Abigail and Ansley's first year without also thinking about the amazing power of the Lord! We have been nothing but blessed with the girls' perfect health! When reading articles about 29 week preemies, we also read about the breathing, feeding, vision, and/or hearing issues that come along with such an early arrival, which is also many times life threatening. Recently, the girls' development was evaluated based on their actual vs adjusted ages. When asking us about the girls' medical history, the assessor was amazed at their health both currently and when they came home from the hospital. We went to see Dr. Morel for the girls' 12 month check up. She was extremely pleased with their progress and their chubbiness, which we never dreamed of hearing! Abigail weighed in at 17 lbs 12 oz and was 26.5 inches long. Ansley weighed in at 17 lbs 4 oz and was 27 inches long. They are both on the charts for regular 12 month old babies, which we also never thought we would see! We continue to be reminded of our little miracles that fill every second of our days with joy! We could never thank you all enough for your prayers, love, and endless support during Abigail and Ansley's first year!
