Good bye, Cribs!

I guess you realize it's time to take the front rails off the cribs when you come in to get them out and they aren't in the beds that you put them in to begin with. We took the big step this weekend, and Eric converted the cribs into toddler daybeds. The first night went very well. Just to be careful, I put lots of pillows and cushions around their beds in case they rolled off in the night. They didn't wake us up Sunday morning until 5:30 (Ansley) and 6:30(Abigail), which was nice because they normally stay in there and wake the other one up. Instead, they got out of bed on their own, and came to wake up Mommy, leaving the later sleeper alone. Nap time even went well the next day.

The next night, we went in to check on them before we went to bed, this is what we found. Thank goodness for the pillows!...and thank goodness that they sleep hard like their Mommy. They never even knew they were in the floor!

Night #3 went well, just a little cliff hanging.
We know that there will be certain nights when this transition will be tough, but, for now, they are loving their beds!
