Johns & Bland Family Vacation

We enjoyed a week at the lake with Daddy's family. We had lots of fun playing in the water, laying in the sun, and fishing. Abigail and Ansley loved playing with their cousin Benson, although they weren't the best at sharing with him. They were constantly saying "No, Benson!" as he would crawl near their toys. Poor little guy. (We are working so hard at sharing with each other right now, that I don't think they realize that they also have to share with other children also!) We had a "sunset cruise" one night with wonderful frozen drinks for everyone, which the littles ones especially enjoyed. They also enjoyed their first Smores. Thank you, Grammy and Peepaw for a great week!

Daddy was so proud that he got to ski...ok, not really...this picture required lots of special effects. Nathan covered the water splashing, I pulled the rope, and Jenn snapped the photo all to give the appearance that Daddy got to ski, despite his doctor's orders of...NO!

Grammy made us yummy drinks for our evening cruise. The girls had their own little cups, but, obviously, they weren't good enough.

The girls enjoyed reading with Peepaw and Uncle Whatsup (Yes, that's what they call Uncle Nathan. Abigail came up with it the weekend of Benson's birthday party. She looked at him and said "Hey, Whatsup" and it has stuck. Aunt Jenn kept trying to get them to call him Uncle Nay-Nay to make it easier than Nathan, but now they call her Nay Nay. Oh, well!)

Abigail and Ansley also enjoyed their first makeovers, compliments of Aunt Jenn. She even let them do her makeup! (See the during and after shots!)

Matthew and Emery came one day to visit.

We enjoyed yummy smores the last night we were all there.

Ok...not a great picture, but this was the last picture that our pitiful camera will ever take. It gave out after a great 4 years! :(
