Special Visitors and First Trip to the Zoo

We had a great weekend with Grammy and Peepaw last weekend. On Sunday, Grammy had to go back home, but Peepaw was able to stay to spend some more time with us. On Monday, Aunt Jenn(aka. Aunt Squirt or Nay-Nay) and Benson got to our house. We had a fun week playing with Benson and spending time with Jenn and Peepaw. Abigail and Ansley LOVE Benson. They like to be right in his face and love on him constantly. They don't really understand why he can't get into trouble with them yet, but that time will come soon enough.

We also got to take the girls to the zoo for the first time. It was lots of fun at first, but while we were there, the temperature dropped at least ten degrees, the sun decided to quit shining, the wind decided to start blowing, and the rain decided to start falling. We tried to make a quick exit, but we aren't sure there is such a thing with three babies in tow. Everyone was pretty frozen by the time we finally got in the cars!

We had a great week and already miss everyone. Thank you, Peepaw, for helping with some of our "honey-do's" around the house...he painted a couple of our rooms for us, and they look great! (not just any room...two rooms with about 15 foot ceilings!)

Rub-a-dub-dub, three babies in the tub!

Taking a break

It was important for Daddy to take special time with Abigail and Ansley to focus on the hogs. They sat there and yelled "Sooie" for several mintues. (Although it was technically a Red River Hog...and not a Razorback, it didn't matther to the girls...or their daddy!)

Benson trying to stay warm and to ignore all of the "Sooie" madness. He was there to see his Tigers!

Abigail and Ansley are learning to "smile." We are never sure what kind of "smile" we will end up with!

Aunt Jenn, Benson, and Peepaw looking at Benson's favorite animal...the tiger. (You can almost see his Memphis sweatshirt.)

It was neat to see several things in "threes" at the zoo...

the elephants, the meerkats,

and the babies! :)
