An update on the girls and Peepaw Johns...

It is 10:30 AM:
I received a call from my Mom in Jonesboro. They have located the blockage in my Dad's heart and they are going to put in a stint. They also told her that they found something else while in there and didn't elaborate. Please pray as he is undergoing this procedure right now and let this "something else" be nothing else!

After hanging up the phone, I called the NICU and Abigail and Ansley are resting well and have had no spells today!!! I think they know their Daddy doesn't need the stress right now!!

It is 3:30 PM:
I just received a call from my Mom and my Dad is doing fine and is in recovery. They found one more blockage while they were in there and were able to balloon that and stint the other. The doctor has said that this is going to be a lifelong battle with him and that he is going to have to be checked often for these blockages.Thank you for your prayers. We are glad that is over and Grammy and Peepaw can come see the girls soon.

9:35 PM:
Today was another day similar to the others. Both girls are continuing to have their little apnea spells. This morning, the doctor put Ansley on the Nasal Cannula for the first time. She was doing so well until Daddy walked in to see them today at 12:30. I had no more than walked up to her bed and was looking at her (this is the first time you could see her entire face because of the CPAP she had been wearing), when she decided to have a spell!! They both did this yesterday when we went to visit. I just got off the phone with the nurse and she said they are doing fine, just watching their spells to see if they slow done. One improvement lately is that they are coming out of these spells on their own very often. They are going to try again tomorrow on the feedings we believe.

Many praises to God for weight gain in both girls!!!!
Abigail weighs 2lbs, 3.9 oz.
Ansley weighs 1lb, 7.6 oz.
This means both girls are now above their birth weight for the first time. Please pray that this continues as this means we are one day closer to bringing them home.
